Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal; John O'Shea Goal. UEFA Champions League Semi-finals, first-leg 2009

29.Apr.2009 This evening at Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester United and Arsenal met for the first time in UEFA Champions League. Arsenal was confronted with a series of selection problems among the missing players being Robie van Persie, Gael Clichy, William Gallas and Andrey Arshavin - the last one is still ineligible due to fact that he already played in UEFA Champion League this season for Zenit Sankt Petersburg. Manchester managed to beat Arsenal 1-0, the only goal being scored by John O'Shea in the minute 17 with a short range effort. Alex Ferguson's team played much better than the opponents but with lack of efficiency, therefore Arsenal is not out of the tie and will try to reverse the final result next week.
